Quantum Hobbyist Network Inc. ("Trylo", "we", "us", or "our") operates the Trylo mobile application and website. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our services.
1. Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly to us, such as:
- Account Information: Name and email address when you create an account
- Profile Information: Profile photos and preferences you choose to provide
- Booking Data: Class booking history, reviews, and preferences
- Location Data: Precise location, only when you grant permission, to show nearby studios
We also collect certain information automatically:
- Usage Data: App interactions such as screens viewed, taps, and feature usage
- Device Information: Device identifiers for analytics purposes
- Crash Data: Crash logs and diagnostic information to improve app stability
2. Payment Information
Class bookings are processed securely through Stripe. Payment card details are entered directly into Stripe's payment interface and are never stored on or transmitted through our servers. We receive only a confirmation of payment status and transaction identifiers.
Optional premium membership subscriptions are processed through Apple In-App Purchase. Apple handles all subscription billing. We receive subscription status information but never your Apple payment details.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Create and manage your account
- Process bookings and payments
- Send booking confirmations, reminders, and updates
- Show studios and classes near your location
- Analyze usage patterns to improve our services (analytics)
- Diagnose and fix technical issues (crash reporting)
- Comply with legal obligations
4. Tracking and Third-Party Data
Trylo does not track you.
- We do not link your data with third-party data for targeted advertising or advertising measurement
- We do not share your data with data brokers
- We do not use third-party advertising SDKs
- We do not access the Apple advertising identifier (IDFA)
- We do not display third-party advertisements in our app
We use PostHog for product analytics to understand how features are used and to improve the app experience. PostHog collects anonymized usage events and device identifiers. This data is used solely for our own analytics and is not shared with third parties for advertising purposes.
5. Information Sharing
We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information. We may share your information with:
- Partner Studios: Your name and booking details are shared with studios when you book a class
- Stripe: Payment processing (Stripe acts as an independent data controller for payment data)
- Supabase: Secure data storage and authentication
- PostHog: Anonymized product analytics
- Apple: Subscription management via In-App Purchase
- Legal Authorities: When required by law or to protect our rights
None of these service providers use your data for their own advertising or marketing purposes.
6. Data Retention
We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you services. If you request account deletion, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or financial compliance purposes (e.g., transaction records may be retained for up to 7 years).
Anonymized analytics data may be retained indefinitely as it cannot be linked back to you.
7. Data Security
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. This includes encryption of data in transit (TLS/HTTPS), secure cloud infrastructure, and limited access controls.
8. Your Rights
Under applicable Canadian privacy law (PIPEDA), you have the right to:
- Access your personal information
- Correct inaccurate information
- Request deletion of your account and data
- Withdraw consent for data collection
- Export your data in a portable format
- Opt out of marketing communications

9. Children's Privacy
Our service is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will delete that information promptly.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated policy and revising the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
